New to Peoples Kenpo Karate Highlands Ranch this year was the Colorado Classic, CKA tournament.  Held on June 30th, we had a great time promoting the tournament and look forward to many, many more.  We are already planning next year's tournament and hope to bring some new and exciting things in 2019.

We would like to thank everyone for their help with the planning, all the volunteers who made the tournament a success and everyone who competed.  We are also very happy with the positive response to our Grand Champion Awards.

From all of us at Peoples Kenpo Karate Highlands Ranch and the Colorado Classic CKA Tournament......THANK YOU!

Showdown in H-Town

This is Sensei Jason "J-Dog" Holmes tournament in Houston, TX that was held over Memorial Day weekend.  The "Showdown" is a National NBL (National Blackbelt League) tournament that draws competitors from across the country.  PKKA did very well at the tournament placing in most divisions and bringing home TWO Grand Champion Awards!

Willie Hicks and Regina Thompson at PKKA Highlands Ranch!

We were thrilled to host Sensei Willie Hicks and Sensei Regina Thompson at the dojo for a point fighting seminar on August 10th.  There were also a limited number of private lessons a lucky few of you were able to book with them.  We had 30 people attend the seminar on the 10th for what was supposed to be a two hour class.  I'm happy to say, everyone got their money's worth because it ended up being a three hour session with drills and point fighting with the NBL World Champions.  We had  people coming from Kansas and Colorado Springs to learn and spend time with these two.  It was a fantastic seminar!

If you weren't able to attend this one, keep checking back for their return visit in November.  We have a tentative date scheduled and will firm up the actual day and time shortly.  Even if you didn't come to the first one, make plans to show up in November and take advantage of their knowledge leading up to NBL's Super Grands in December!
